Bob worked in the family business, at the terminal and in the field, from a young age.
He joined the company full-time after earning a degree from Ashland College in 1979. As Project Manager, and later Vice President and Treasurer, he held a wide range of roles - from job costing and bids to ordering materials, equipment needs, scheduling and hiring and managing labor. Along the way, he was responsible for projects ranging from $250,000 to $5.2 million, including new road and parking lot construction, roadway and bridge rehabilitation and asphalt overlay. He also played a lead role in re-engineering the company to become a full-service logistics and transportation solution provider, including expanding and optimizing RiverLift's multimodal terminal. He received PennDOT's Excellence in Highway Design Award for the construction of the Arrowhead Trail Bikeway Project, the first rail-to-trail project in Pennsylvania. Bob is married and has one son.
